Jolie releases final court filing before agreeing to seal records

Angelina Jolie criticized Brad Pitt in her most recent divorce court filing.

Pitt and Jolie are going through a highly public divorce due to their popularity. Pitt asked for the court records relating to the children of the couple to be sealed. According to Pitt, Jolie was compromising the privacy of the children by essentially releasing details to the world through public court filings. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge and Jolie agreed to seal the records, but not before Jolie released a final court filing in which she claimedPitt was concerned with what the public might learn about him in the course of the proceedings. "There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse," read the court documents.

Sources close to Pitt have maintained that he was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in all of the investigations. There have been no reports that Pitt will be formally charged criminally.

"It's nice to see that she has finally come around to supporting the sealing of documents weeks after he requested this action," said asource toPEOPLE. "Considering that both the FBI and child services thoroughly investigated this matter and cleared the father, this line of attack doesn't make much sense."

Sources from the Jolie camp have asserted that just because Pitt will not be criminally charged does not mean that he did not do any harm to his children.
