According to law enforcement officials, no drugs were seized at her home, and there will be no criminal investigation as a result.

Pop star Demi Lovato was treated for a drug overdose on Tuesday morning, TMZ reported.

Lovato was allegedly not cooperative when EMTs arrived to treat her at her home and refused to tell the paramedics what drug caused the overdose. After initial reports that Lovato overdosed on heroin, a source told TMZ that that was untrue. She was treated with Narcan, an emergency medication to fight drug overdoses, and was transported via ambulance to a hospital.

Lovato was celebrating a friend's birthday in West Hollywood on Monday and was found unconscious in her home on Tuesday morning. According to her representative, she was awake, responsive, and with her family on Tuesday evening.

"Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her representative said. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect, and they respectfully ask for privacy."

The singer is currently recovering in the hospital. Lovato has battled substance abuse for years, living in a sober house at one point after being treated at a rehabilitation center. She had been sober from alcohol, cocaine, and Oxycontin for six years prior to her relapse, which she detailed in a song called "Sober" released last month.

Lovato recently performed on Sunday with Iggy Azalea at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles and was scheduled to perform in Atlantic City later this week
