A fan ran onto the stage at Beyonce and Jay-Z's Atlanta concert on Saturday night, TMZ reported.

26 year old Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell approached Jay-Z as he and Beyonce were leaving the stage at the end of the two and a half hour concert. Maxwell was quickly stopped by backup dancers, who chased him as he ran backstage.
Maxwell was then detained by police and written up for disorderly conduct. He was never taken to jail.

According to law enforcement, Maxwell made contact with Jay-Z, though it does not appear that the contact was overly physical. Maxwell was treated for minor injuries at the scene, and police say that there were no additional injuries to anyone involved.

"Thanks to all the fans for your concern," said Yvette Noel-Schure, Beyonce's publicist, in an Instagram post. "They are fine and looking forward to the show tomorrow."

Beyonce an Jay-Z have not commented on the incident yet.

Billboardreported that Atlanta police are now pursuing a charge of simple battery in the case.
