Fergie's performance of the national anthem at the NBA All-Star Game Wednesday had some people calling it the worst rendition ever.

Fergie's rendition of the national anthem stole the show on Sunday night, February 18, at the NBA All-Star Game, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and not in a positive way. The former Black Eyed Peas singer's creative, sultry performance had players and fans both bemused and bewildered.

A day later, she even conceded to the press that her version of the song may have unintentionally hit a sour note.

"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA," she told the press. "I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."

While this was not the first time Fergie came under criticism for singing the anthem at a sporting event, some fans took to Instagram calling it "the worst rendition ever."
