"He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house," James Corden said.

James Corden talked about what happened when Kanye West cancelled his appearances on his hit "Carpool Karaoke" segment, Cosmopolitan reported.

West's mother in law, Kris Jenner, appeared on a recent episode of Corden'sThe Late Late Showand participated in a segment in which she -- and Corden -- had to ask each other questions and either give an honest answer or eat something disgusting if they refused.
Jenner asked Corden why he had never invited West to appear on "Carpool Karaoke," during which musical artists drive around with Corden while singing their music, answering questions, and sometimes taking part in ridiculous antics. Corden explained that he had extended an invitation two to three times.

"He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house," Corden said. "I was in a car, and by the time the call finished, I was sat outside his house and they were like, 'He's not in the zone for it right now. We'll do it another time.'"

West sent Corden flowers and a pair of Yeezy sneakers as an apology.

Corden said that the cancellation ended up costing the show $45,000, though he was still willing to have West on the segment in the future.

"We love him, he's my dream!" Corden said. "He know that. He's my absolute dream and we sit and wait ... That's exactly why."

Jenner, for her part, refused to answer two questions and had to eat a cricket and drink a sardine smoothie as a result
