Michael Nesmith, the guitarist of The Monkees, was hospitalized before a concert in Pennsylvania on Thursday.

Michael Nesmith, the guitarist of The Monkees, was hospitalized before a concert in Pennsylvania on Thursday, according to TMZ.

The 75-year-old had a minor health issue before reaching the venue for a sound check. According to Nesmith's representative, the musician has already been discharged from the hospital. It is unclear what medical emergency occurred in the first place.
While the issue was not serious, Nesmith was advised to rest as much as possible, and the remaining four shows on The Monkees Present: The Mike & Micky Show tour, which were scheduled to take place in New York and New Jersey, have been postponed for dates in January to ensure that he gets that rest. Nesmith will return home to Carmel Valley to recover.

"He is in good spirits and thanks all the fans for their support and understanding," a statement read. "He looks forward to getting back on the stage again soon."

The Monkees' famous hits include "Daydream Believer," "I'm a Believer," and "Last Train to Clarksville." The band was nearing the end of a national tour when Nesmith's hospitalization occurred
