Nicole Kidman in talks to play Gretchen Carlson

Charlize Theron will play Megyn Kelly, another former host for the network, and Margot Robbie has been in talks for a role as well.

Nicole Kidman is on the list of potential stars for the role of former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in a new film,Variety reported.

The Annapurna movie tells the story of former Fox News chief Roger Ailes and the women who were sexually harassed and assaulted by him, then spoke up about the behaviors to have him fired.
Carlson was the first woman to file a lawsuit against Ailes after she was fired.

Charlize Theron will play Megyn Kelly, another former host for the network, and Margot Robbie has been in talks for a role as an associate producer from the Fox network, depending on how her schedule unfolds.

Theron is also producing the film with Beth Kono and AJ Dix via their Denver & Delilah banner. Margaret Riley, director Jay Roach, and writer Charles Randolph, who also wrote The Big Short, also share producer credits.

Kidman recently won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role in HBO's seriesBig Little Lies, which is in the process of shooting a second season. Her upcoming projects include roles inAquaman andThe Goldfinch, adapted from the acclaimed Donna Tartt novel.

The as-yet untitled film is the second known production featuring Ailes and his inappropriate behavior. Showtime recently signed on for an eight-episode series based on Gabriel Sherman's bookThe Loudest Voice in the Room, with Russell Crowe slated to play Ailes himself
