Paul McCartney's first album in five years,Egypt Station, is scheduled to be released by Capitol on September 7, according to Pitchfork.

He released two singles, "I Don't Know" and "Come on to Me," as well as a preview of the album's brightly colored cover art in anticipation of its release.
"I liked the words 'Egypt Station,'" McCartney said in a press release. "It reminded me of the 'album' albums we used to make.Egypt Stationstarts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from."

McCartney released an LP,NEW, in 2013 and has worked with Kanye West on individual songs, including "Only One," "FourFiveSeconds," and "All Day" in the interim. He has also collaborated with Foo Fighters and Ringo Starr and re-released several records.
