Author and model Alexia Norton Jones said on Thursday that Russel Simmons raped her in November 1990, according toVariety.

The alleged incident occurred after the two returned to Simmons's apartment after a date, when Simmons pinned Jones against a wall and raped her, she said.
"It was such a fast attack," Jones said. "I must have said no seven to 10 times."

Jones said that Simmons continued to pursue her after the attack despite her clear disinterest in speaking to him again.

Last spring, Jones filed a police report with the New York City Police Department in solidarity with the more than a dozen victims who have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Simmons. Her case falls outside the statue of limitations, and she is not seeking monetary damages.

Simmons has denied any wrongdoing in any of these cases, but he stepped down from his positions at his companies -- including Def Jam Records -- as a result of the backlash.

In a statement, Simmons said that he has taken multiple lie detector tests that show he never sexually assaulted anyone.

"Alexia and I dated, were intimate, and attended multiple events together after she alleges the incident occurred in 1990," the statement reads. Simmons's version of events was confirmed by his longtime driver, who says that he transported Simmons and Jones on about a dozen dates in 1990.

Jones, however, says that she never dated Simmons, and her therapist confirmed toVariety that Jones spoke with her about the alleged assault during appointments together in the early 1990s
