Security concerns end Rascal Flatts show

The Noblesville, Indiana concert ended before the band could perform its expected encore.

A concert by country band Rascal Flatts was evacuated over security concerns on Thursday,USA Today reported.

"Due to a security concern at the show last night, standard procedures were quickly executed and everyone was able to safely leave the building," the band wrote on its Facebook page the next day. "The safety of our fans, band and crew is always the top priority for us, so we are so thankful for everyone who jumped into action and for your understanding. We will be back soon!"

On Friday, local police said that an open investigation into the matter was underway and that they could not provide any additional details yet.

Several fans expressed their disappointment on social media, particularly as two of the band's most popular songs -- "God Bless the Broken Road" and "Life is a Highway" -- were likely to be included in the encore.

One attendee said that security personnel walked through the crowd to ask fans to leave after an announcement was made that the concert was over.

"I asked what was going on andhe replied, 'We were told to evacuate the pavilion immediately,'" said Britni Sherlock.

Another fan reported that he saw someone being pulled out of the pit area close to the stage by security personnel after the lights in the venue were turned on. The band's piano player was supposedly told to leave the stage immediately as well
